Here are some answers to the most common questions concerning the event.
What’s a SKIRT and how much do they cost?
A skirt is a purchased option that allows a player to hit a single tee shot from the ladies tee. It can be used after a team has hit from the regulation tees. No single player may hit more than two SKIRTs.
SKIRTS are $25 each. Max 6 per team.
Current UT Students get any love?
Of course. Current UT Student Discounts - If you’re in school now, your team can play for half of the tournament price.
How do I pay?
Tournament fees are paid the day of at the tournament.
Sponsorships can be paid prior.
Donations are accepted year round at the “Donate Now” button.

When do I pay?
If you plan to attend, we can collect all of your contributions at the event. If you’re unable to attend but still want to sponsor, we’d prefer to receive your contribution by September 30, 2023. We can arrange variety of payment options to make it as easy as possible.
Any restrictions on who can play or attend?
Absolutely not. In true Mitch style, the more the merrier.
Are clubs available for rent?
A few sets, yes. Please contact the golf course directly at (865) 970-7132.
Are University of Tennessee football tickets part of the package?
No. We’re good, but not that good. There are a lot of well connected Volunteers in attendance who may be able to assist you.

I’m from out of town, any suggestions on where to stay?
We suggest any downtown Knoxville hotel if you’d prefer to experience a game weekend in Knoxville in all of it’s glory. There are several Hilton, Marriott and boutique brand hotels available.
Another area that may be a bit more cost conscious is the Turkey Creek area west of Knoxville which is very close to the golf course (15 minutes or so).
How much has been raised during the first six years?
We have been blessed to provide Mitch’s family with checks totaling over $92,000 over the six years of the event.
Is there going to be another super cool hat to add to my collection?
Yes. The logo and hat combos have become iconic. We’re confident this year will be no different.
For the tailgate, is there parking available?
No. It is best to carpool as much as possible and park near Kingston Pike or “The Fort” and walk across campus to the tailgate site which is at the corner of Volunteer Blvd. & Circle Park.
What’s available at the tailgate?
An amazing location and executive level camaraderie.
